his second four-monthly joint report,1 based on the statistical information drawn from terrorist attacks which occurred in G-5 area,2 adds two new periods of study, 1 May – 31 August 2019 and 1 May – 31 Aug 2020, to our previous report.
By lengthening the period from 8 to 16 months, a broader and more nuanced understanding of the dynamics of terrorism over time has been achieved, demonstrating new TVEO3 trends, capacity building and strategies in the G-5 Sahel region. Consequently, the deductions and conclusions will be more comprehensive and precise.
