Church Attack in Central African Republic

On May 1, 2018, in Bangui, the capital of Central African Republic (CAR), on the outskirts of PK5 district, armed assailants attacked the Notre Dame de Fatima Catholic Church with grenades and guns during morning mass where dozens of congregants were in attendance. Initial reports indicate that the attackers killed 15 people including a priest and critically injuring 99 others; subsequent reports have indicated that the number of deaths has since increased to 26. The church attack set-off retaliatory violence in Bangui with attacks on several Mosques, street violence and damaging of United Nations vehicles.”…more

SUSPECTED BOKO HARAM ATTACK IN MAIDUGURI KILLS 20PEOPLE

On Sunday 1st April, 2018, Armed fighters suspected to be members Boko Haram attacked the city of Maiduguri, in the north-eastern state of Borno and its surrounding villages leading to the killing of 19 civilians and an army officer. Malian Military Camp Attack27 January 2018

On Saturday 27 January 2018, a group of about 30 heavily suspected al-Qaeda fighters attacked the Malian military camp in Soumpi, Timbuktu region, at around 04:00 hours.
During the attack 14 Malian soldiers were killed, 18 others were wounded and also 17 attackers have been killed. The attackers briefly took control of the military camp in the morning but the army retook the camp in the afternoon. There was no immediate claim
