Today, 16 November 2019, Algiers, Algeria: The African Centre for the Study and Research on Terrorism (ACSRT) is organizing a Workshop on Strategic Analysis Coordination on Counter Terrorism (CT), Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) and Transnational Organized Crime (TOC) from 16th to 17th November 2019 in Algiers, Algeria.

The two-day workshop is attended by representatives of African Union Mechanism for Police Co-operation (AFRIPOL) and Peace and Security Department, Defense and Security Division.

The main objective of the workshop is to develop a blueprint for strategic analysis on understanding new techniques used by terrorist groups to conduct and sustain their operation.

The workshop also seeks to enhance cooperation and coordination among designated institutions to enhance information sharing and to avoid duplication of roles and lapses in programmes.

In addition, the meeting will serve to discuss and develop the 5-year strategic roadmap, as tasked by the PSC the ACSRT, AFRIPOL and CISSA.
