US Ambassador to Algeria pays courtesy call on Director ACSRT

H.E Joan A. Polaschik, the Ambassador of the United States of America to the Democratic Republic of Algeria, on the 14th August 2016, paid a courtesy call on the AU Special Representative for Counter-Terrorism Cooperation and Director of the African Centre for the Study and Research on Terrorism, Larry Gbevlo-Lartey Esq. Their deliberations centred on the harmonization of the Counter-Terrorism effort in Africa, particularly in the Sahel Region.

The two dignitaries discussed areas of cooperation among regional organizations in the Sahel. They also touched on the Sahel Working Group of the Global Counter Terrorism Forum (GCTF).

Mr. Larry Gbevlo-Lartey expressed his gratitude for the visit and said that it is an opportunity for strengthening the Counter-Terrorism cooperation between the ACSRT and the United States.

H.E Joan A. Polaschik on her part congratulated the ACSRT on its efforts and assured the Director of the continued collaboration between the United States and the African Union in the prevention and combating of terrorism.
