Organization of the 5th training course on Operational Intelligence Analysis at the African center for the Study and Research on Terrorism (ACSRT)

The African Center for the Study and Research on the Terrorism (ACSRT) organizes, with the support of Bundeskriminlamt (BKA), the German Federal Police, the 5th training course on Operational Intelligence Analysis. The course will take place at the headquarters of the Center, in Algiers, Algeria from the 08th to 16th of December 2015. The course demonstrates the firm will of the African Union and the German government to continue their joint efforts to strengthen the counter-terrorism capacities of the African States.

This training responds to the double necessity of contributing to the implementation of the capacity building program for the Sahel-Saharan Region Member States, adopted in the framework of the Nouakchott Process, and to meet the overriding need to strengthen the human resources capacities in strategic and operational analysis, as requested by several member states during the ACSRT evaluation missions.

Highly qualified and experimented experts will provide the trainees with the theoretical knowledge and the latest practical tools on the collection, analysis and intelligence evaluation. Participants to the course consists of intelligence professionals from Algeria, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Kenya, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Somalia, Tunisia and the Joint Intelligence Fusion Center (JIFC) of the states of the International Conference on the Great Lakes region.

This training establishes an additional step crossed by Africa and its regions in the prevention and combating of terrorism and transnational organized crime. This training contributes to the realization of the objective of the Pan-African organization to establish in the continent a stable, peaceful and secure environment, a pre-requisite condition for its integration and its economic
and social development.
