General Situation.

The reporting period, 16th to 30th June 2019 recorded a slight increase in the general number of attacks by terrorist and violent extremist groups in Africa compared to 1st to 15th June. Also, the number of deaths resulting from terrorist attacks increased drastically.

 General Situation. The reporting period, 1st to 15th June 2019 recorded a slight decrease in the general number of attacks by terrorist and violent extremist groups in Africa compared to 16th to 31st May. However, the number of deaths resulting from terrorist attacks increased sharply.

Inaugural Editorial Board Meeting of the “African Journal for the Prevention and Combating of Terrorism”

Algiers, 8 July 2019. The African Centre for the Study and Research on Terrorism (ACSRT), as part of its efforts to reposition “the African Journal for the Prevention and Combating of Terrorism” to meet international standard, reconstituted the editorial board of the journal. The Inaugural Editorial Board meeting was held from 07-08 July 2019 at the ACSRT Headquarters, Algiers, Algeria.
