The AU Commission Chairperson Condemns the Central London Terror Attack

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – 4 June 2017: The Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat firmly condemns the terror attack in central London on June 3 2017, which claimed the lives of seven people and left 48 injured.

The African Union strongly condemns the suicide bombing at a refugee camp in northern Cameroon

Addis Ababa, 2 June 2017: The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat, strongly condemns the double suicide bombing, on 2 June 2017, at a refugee camp in the town of Kolofata in northern Cameroon, near the Nigerian border. The attack that targeted the camp used by people displaced from their homes by the Boko Haram terrorist group resulted in the death of at least nine people and injury of about 30 others.

The AU Chairperson begins Sahel Regional tour in support of G5 Sahel Security Agreement

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – 4 June 2017: The chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission Moussa Faki Mahamat arrived in Niamey, Niger, on June 3 2017 as he embarked on five-nation tour in the Sahel Saharan region until 10 June 2017 to reaffirm the African Union’s commitment and solidarity with the region in its fight against terrorism and criminal networks in order to create a safe and secure environment and contribute to the stabilization of the situation in the Sahel region, as well as its long term development.
