The Chairperson of the AU Commission condemns the attacks in Mandera and Garissa, Kenya

Addis Ababa, 25 May 2017: The Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), H.E. Mr. Moussa Faki Mahamat, strongly condemns the multiple attacks perpetrated by Al-Shabaab terrorists on 24 May 2017 in Mandera, and on 25 May 2017 in Garissa, Kenya, resulting in the death of several police and security officers.

Addis Ababa, 26 May 2017: The Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), Moussa Faki Mahamat, condemns in the strongest terms the attack launched by gunmen that killed at least 29 Coptic Christians and wounded more than 25 others, in the Minya province, which lies to the south of the capital, Cairo. The Chairperson is particularly saddened that this attack occurred on the eve of the holy month of Ramadan.

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – 23 May 2017: The Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, H.E. Mr. Moussa Faki Mahamat, condemns in the strongest terms the horrific terrorist attack at a concert attended by thousands of young fans in the northern English city of Manchester, resulting in at least 22 deaths, and leaving dozens of others injured.

AU Embarks on Performance Management Training

17-18 May 2017: The Administration and Human Resources Management (AHRM) Directorate of the African Union Commission in collaboration with the African Centre for the Study and Research on Terrorism (ACSRT) organized a two-day training session on Talent and Performance Management at ACSRT Offices in Algiers, Algeria. The training in the ACSRT is part of an overall training package for all offices of the AU.
